Pneumonology

To the contacts

In the Department of Pneumonology, we take care of patients suffering from diseases of the lungs and respiratory tract. The tradition of pneumonology at the Havelhöhe site dates back to the 1950s and represents a piece of Berlin's medical history. Today, we offer a state-of-the-art treatment environment and guarantee highly specialised pneumonological treatment expertise. From respiratory medicine and the challenges of integrative thoracic oncology to interstitial, allergological and infectious diseases of the lung, we fully cover our speciality's complex treatment spectrum. A special focus of our department is the treatment of people with lung cancer in our Lung Cancer Centre, which has already been certified several times by the German Cancer Society, as well as the interventional treatment of patients with severe emphysema and COPD. We keep all procedures of interventional-bronchoscopic and thoracoscopic diagnostics and therapy available at all times and advise hospitals both nearby and far away. Our integrative therapy goes far beyond the usual treatment options. Equal-ranking, partnership-based medicine with a sense of proportion and room for individuality and human warmth is the driving force behind our work. We see ourselves as Germany's pneumonology service with the added integrative approach.
