Surgical Treatments

When conservative treatments aren't successful

When conservative treatment methods are not (longer) sufficient, the prerequisites for surgical treatment are met. There are several standard procedures:

Surgical treatment of urinary incontinence

  • TVT (tension free vaginal tape)/TVT-O (tension free vaginal tape-obturator)
  • Burch colposuspension
  • Surgical treatment following vaginal prolapse
  • Pelvic floor reconstruction

Surgical treatment of the various forms of faecal incontinence

  • Defective anal sphincter
  • Dorsal/ventral rectocele
  • Anal and rectal prolapse
  • Haemorrhoids
