Sonography (Ultra-sound)
Sonography (Ultra-sound) is an examination of organs by means of an ultra-sound. We carry out following examinations:
- Ultra-sound of all body organs including abdominal vessels as well as the thyroid gland
- Targeted ultra-sound control puncture from diseased organs (for example liver, kidneys, pancreas)
- Puncture and drainage of abscesses and cysts
- Targeted puncture and obliteration of malignant liver tumours (for example, a multipolar radio frequency ablation)

What does the examination look like and what should I pay attention to?
An ultra-sound examination of abdominal organs is in principle not dangerous and is not stressful for patients. For a better image of the organs, the patient is required to fast. The examination lasts about 10-15 minutes. The patient can start eating or drinking right after that.
