Rheumatology

Treatment of rheumatic diseases is a focus of our unit. This includes treatments for:

• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Ankylosing spondylitis
• Soft tissue rheumatic diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus, mixed connective tissue disease and scleroderma

A high priority is placed on anthroposophical therapy for treatment of these conditions alongside conventional therapeutic approaches such as immunosuppressive applications or pain management procedures.

Remedies from anthroposophic medicine such as Bryonia (bryony), Mandragora (mandrake), Equisetum arvense (horsetail) are used in addition to extensive external applications for conditions associated with rheumatic disorders.
