Nursing care
Nursing care is the art to be a fellow human being
Welcome to the pages of nursing care of the Hospital Havelhoehe
We would like to inform you about particularities of nursing care in the Hospital Havelhoehe and about specific nursing and therapeutic approaches that we use.

Focus of our work
Our work as carers is focused on the task to get to know the patients in their entireness, which means in their physicality and in their functions, in the mental experience and individuality.
Moreover, we would like to get an insight into a social environment of the person and to include it into the treatment. Respect towards the personality of an individual is our highest imperative and has the following meaning for us: needs and desires of the sick person should be addressed to and met as long as possible.
(Mission statement GKH)
Anthroposophical conception of man
In spite of conditions radically changed in the recent years (shortened hospital stay, economically scarce resources etc), we are committed to our claim to offer and fulfil an extended nursing care. As carers, we work according to the principles of an anthroposophical conception of man, which is our guideline for nursing as well as social actions.
Nursing care organisations and anthroposophic care
Since taking over the hospital in 1995, we work in wards in patient-oriented organisation form “Room nursing care”. All professional groups build a therapeutic team around the patient, all members of this team exchange information on a regular basis.
Educated nurses and care workers who have a sound knowledge of conventional medicine as well as of athroposophical care provide the service.
We have to deal with constantly growing quality demands, with a comprehensive further training program, which makes it possible to learn rhythmical unctions and other external applications.
