General Internal Medicine
The General Internal Medicine Unit (Ward 12) treats nearly the entire spectrum of internal disorders in cooperation with other departments of our hospital. Such disorders include:
- Infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, abdominal cavity and soft tissues
- Decompensated arterial hypertension
- Disturbances of fluid and electrolyte balance
- Kidney disease
- Heart disease
- Haematological and oncological diseases
The holistic approach to treatment includes therapy through dialogue, art therapy (painting, clay modelling and music), eurhythmics, rhythmic massage and nursing measures such as compresses and liniments. These therapies are designed to stimulate self-healing and help the patient cope with their illness.
