Gastroenterology

The gastroenterology department has about 54 beds located in two wards and in an additional ward for short-stay patients, and a modern and efficient department for endoscopy and functional department.

In addition to a whole range of general internal and gastro-intestinal diseases, we have developed following areas of specialisation:

• Chronic inflammatory diseases (M.Crohn; Colitis ulcerosa)
• Tumour diseases of gastrointestinal tract (colon, rectum, stomach, pancreas, gullet, bile ducts carcinoma )
• Functional bowel diseases (irritable stomach, irritable bowel)
• Chronic hepatitis
• Alcohol detoxification
• Anthroposophical medicine
