In the cardiology ward, all advanced methods of invasive and non-invasive diagnosis and therapy are available. These include:

• ECG, exercise ECG and Holter ECG
• 24-hour blood pressure measurement
• Echocardiography (stress echo, transthoracic and transoesophageal techniques)
• Tilt table testing
• Myocardial perfusion imaging
• Cardiac catheterisation
• Balloon angioplasty (PTCA = percutaneous transcutaneous angioplasty)
• Stent implantation
• Pacemaker therapy
