Pelvic floor and incontinence centre

We conduct special pelvic floor and incontinence consultations for women, who have to deal with such problems as urinary incontinence (involuntary loss of urine, or uterine prolapse).
In our department, there is a urodynamic measuring station, therefore we can make a precise diagnosis after a gynaecological examination including ultra-sound and a urodynamic examination, in order to be able to plan an individual therapy with the patients.
Often in the case of so-called stress urinary incontinence (loss of urine when you cough, laugh, sneeze), training of pelvic floor muscles is insufficient, and a surgery is needed.

In the case of uterine or urinary bladder prolapse, we can make sure by means of a urodynamic examination, that after the surgical correction of the prolapse incontinence which was earlier hidden does not appear. If this so-called “masked stress incontinence” is confirmed by the examination, it can be also treated during the same surgery. As a result, our patients can avoid a new in-patient stay because of urinary incontinence, which appeared after the surgery.
In our department, we perform all conventional vaginal surgeries. We have an extensive experience with the so-called TVT method, a very gentle but highly effective incontinence operation without abdominal incision.
