Consultation and Liaison Services

The Consultation and Liaison Service is an integral part of all somatic units in our clinic (Diabetology, Oncology, Palliative Medicine, Thyroid Centre, Visceral Centre, Pain Centre, Gynaecology/Obstetrics, and Surgery).
 
As part of the somatic treatment, some patients require an accompanying psychosomatic treatment. It is our aim to provide such patients with timely care. In concrete terms, this means that a psychotherapist works directly together with the team in the somatic unit (Liaison Services) and/or is brought on board where necessary (Consultation Services).

This ensures that the patient is continually cared for during his or her inpatient stay and, where required, can be referred to resident psychotherapists after being discharged from hospital.
