Anthroposophic medicine
The anthroposophical medicine is not an „alternative medicine“, but natural-scientific medicine enhanced by fundamental principles of an anthroposophical anthropology.
The conception of man of the modern medicine reduces understanding of disease to physical and biochemical factors that should be corrected during healing process. For this reason, the person is more and more reduced to his physical self, which can be described with the help of natural scientific methods. We are grateful to this type of medicine for significant progress, but there are many aspects lost in the possible understanding of disease and therapy, which is based on it, because of a narrow angle of view.

The modern conventional medicine, which basics are familiar to every anthroposophical physician is enhanced in the anthroposophic medicine through involvement of mental and spiritual needs of the person. That means that diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are not based on all existing standards, but are adapted to the individual needs of the patient. A lot of importance is attached to the active participation of the patient in his healing process and supporting his self-healing powers. Natural healings remedies (anthroposophics) serve this purpose on a physical and functional level, art therapies (painting and music therapy, plasticizing), eurhythmy and rhythmical massage. An attempt is made to fulfil spiritual needs of the diseased person with the help of conversational therapy and biographical work.
