Short presentation of the Gemeinschafts-
krankenhaus (Hospital Havelhoehe)
On January 1, 1995 the earlier local area Havelhoehe of the hospital Spandau was transferred under the auspices of “Non-profit association for support and development registered society of Berlin”. In contrast to other anthroposophic clinics, development of anthroposophic medicine was started in the Hospital Havelhoehe with involvement of 550 old-established staff members who had not been familiar with anthroposophical medicine before. Out of cooperation of people with different experiences and abilities, a fruitful collaboration for the benefit of patients has developed over the following years.
The name “Gemeinschaftskrankenhaus” (collaborative or cooperation hospital) already demonstrates that new approaches will be applied in this hospital. On the one hand, it comprises understanding of disease and healing which observes supervision and care of a sick person as a common task with the goal to support the diseased person in realising his individual opportunities. On the other hand, the idea of social understanding is expressed here, meaning that all staff members with their special abilities and with their different tasks are seen as equals.
Modern possibilities of natural-scientific medicine are a basis for medical diagnostics and treatment in the Hospital Havelhoehe. As our specialty, we offer you an opportunity to get to know therapeutic offers of anthroposophical medicine. This offer comprises the choice of special medicaments, external applications (for example, wet pack and unctions) as well as art therapies. The therapies that were developed out of anthroposophy are designed to stimulate your own powers.
Our goal is to put the patient to the centre of a therapeutic relationship, to apply a personal approach that tries to comprehensively understand his complaints and sufferings.
